"And ye shall know the Truth,..."

"... and the Truth shall make you free." John 8.32

Update: Guess what, folks? God spoke to me last night. And He said: "Jiiiiiiim! Chinchillllla Jiiiiiiiim! Make screen caps of the "Harlow's My Friend" blog."

And I said: "But why, Lord?"

And He said: "Ha ha, you'll see! This is gonna be a laugh riot..."

And sure enough...God was right! I got the whole blog he just tried to delete, preserved here on SOTC for all eternity. God was a day ahead of preacher George, LOL:

Well THAT was fast.
At first he had no problem speaking his mind about Harlow and all the other "misguided" people.
I would have enjoyed watching him start to get into that here.
It would not have lasted long though!
Strange bird!

I just read the update-

I have been thinking about this from time to time.
It is not an important issue but somebody may find it interesting.

We can call it "Confessions of a Brief Harlowite"

When I first heard of this case I soon found Harlow Cuadra.
all other matters regarding the case sort of fell to the wayside,
I saw Harlow Cuadra's picture and I immediately saw injustice.
A guy who looked like this was incapable of doing this crime, and that was it.
[Gauging a man from the outside in, or by the way he looks-
We can call that VJ character defect Numero Uno!- people who know me would have thought I had learned by now?!]
To be fair to me though :)
I had just come off of the mission of getting my brother out of jail and I did see injustice - but,-
Anyway, I then went on a mission, I was going to help him, not for glory for myself in any way, I was just going to help him.
I have helped many people [see character defect numero uno] before.
I thought Harlow was innocent, I thought Bryan Kocis had too many enemies, and I rationalized going on a crusade to help.
Long story short-
I went to the most influential person I know-
I never ask for anything from people-
he knew this and was really patient.
I was prepared and showed him factual news articles, told him my observations, told him how I felt-
[prior to this he had not heard about this case]-
He listened and looked at everything and with his kind face said "He is guilty"
I said "How can you say that, etc."
He said again "Jimmy he is guilty".
He then said if it turns out he is not guilty I will give him money.
-- I just wanted to share that!
Thanks. :)

Confession is good for the soul! :)

Yeah, blogger Julien used to comment about the phenominon, especially prevalent among gay men, of being too favorably biased towards the young and the pretty in our community. Too eager to believe them, and too slow to distrust them when all the signs indicate we should.

That's why they've always used Harlow as the front man in their fund raising efforts, and not Joe. And the rabbit coat was described on eBay as being Harlow's...even though the Out article clearly IDed it as belonging to Joe.

Seems our unfortunate preacher fell under the same spell:

"...I do not know if I have found a person with more love in all my life and so capable in returning it in a way that makes you feel like no other."

I noticed Preacher George has also gone around to the blogs and deleted all of his previous comments. :)

The way spellcheck was writing it seems like he was writing a love story instead of a blog.

You are right just checked my blog he has done the same thing. Preacher man must have packed up shop and ran for the hills. Another possibility he is trying to dispose of the evidence that he left behind. I see that as a cowardly act. Well atleast my blog has not went up in flames yet.

Jim, VJ, PC--

Other than Rev. George's quotes from the Old and New Testaments and allusions to same, I get the distinct impression that he is a "Visiting Pastor" with chaplain's privileges. As a former Catholic seminarian and certified Level I Chaplain, I can see that he tried to fulfill his ministerial function; however, he clearly went over the line.

The passages George quotes are justification for his poor judgment. Frankly, the ones that come to mind for me are from two gospels and obviously discussing the same episode. Jesus was walking with the Twelve in both and being harassed by Scribes and Pharisees in both accounts. One of the Scribe and Pharisee factions called him Satan. Jesus is shown as only being angry twice in the gospels. One episode is the money changers in the Temple precincts and this one. The one that is relevant here is Jesus turning around to face his accuser and saying, "I saw Lucifer fall from the sky like lightning," and "From the beginning, Satan was a liar and the father of lies." I bring this up because Rev. George has begun to identify much too closely with Harlow, the one in need of his ministry. The problem with this servant of God is going beyond mere comfort, solace, and confessor role to being a devotee and very nearly a platonic client--a serious breach of ethical boundaries for a chaplain of any faith tradition.

I don't like the idea that Rev. George seems to have crossed some ethical and professional boundary regarding Harlow and Harlow's situation, but it is interesting to note that George seems to be saying that Harlow is approachable and accepting of his fate, perhaps because he is truly free of Joe for the first time since he has been with Joe.

Joe, on the other hand, is cold steel, not approachable and Rev. George clearly writes him off.

Thank you for proving my point.

Rev. George wrote, "...I do not know if I have found a person with more love in all my life and so capable in returning it in a way that makes you feel like no other."

This could be the endorsement for their grifting that Harlow and Joe could have used on their ads for both Norfolk Escorts and Boybatter.com.

Interesting development from overnight on PC's blog. The Pennsylvania State Police got permission to go back and research "a certain Virginia Beach residence," according to PC. PC adds there is more on this to follow.

Wow, I just had a good nights sleep, woke up, and thought...wow, what a dream!

I dreamed preacher George had just formed an alliance with Kent Barclay...thus showing to the world, better than any words could convey...how desperate and hopeless Harlow's cause had become!

I mean, to have sunk so low as to get in bed with Kent. Wow! It's truly a lost cause over there in Harlow fantasyland if thats the case.

And then, I turn on my blog...and I realize...it was REAL! It's NOT a dream! OMG! LOL!

Oh this is going to be a GREAT day! :-)

Question for you preacher:

Your new ally Kent Barclay is posting on his blog that Harlow will employ a sort of battered spouse/diminished capacity defense; basically saying "Joe made me do it."

Is this true?
