Actually, news of this particular crime broke early in January:
TAMPA - Someone really wanted to kill Grigori and Galina Komissarchuk.
The couple, in their 60s, have homes in Sarasota and Brooklyn, N.Y., and were attacked at least four times at their homes and other places, according to federal court records. One time the attacker used a hammer. Both of them suffered skull fractures and other injuries.
Federal authorities have arrested and charged a man they identify as Edmon Vardanyan, 23, with traveling in interstate commerce with the intent to kill, injure or harass, according to a federal complaint...
But it was not until yesterday that J.C. Adams broke the story that Edmon Vardanyan is also gay porn star and Jet Set exclusive Nickolay Petrov.Even more interesting is the fact that Mr. Petrov is up for some awards at this year's GAYVN ceremony.
Looks like someone else at Jet Set will have to accept the awards on his behalf if he wins. Should make for an awkward speech, to say the least, heh!
Update: As of this moment, the domain www.freenickolaypetrov.com is unclaimed. No word of a legal defense fund either.

what you may not rmember Jim is when Natalie "disappeared" Joran was all over his personal blog yapping about it,,he even insinuated she got drunk wandered away and maybe went for a swim and drowned!

I can't help but think of the desperation that would drive an obvious young Russian and recent immigrant to such a ghastly act. Whatever hold the Russian mafia had on Edmon Vardanya must have been terribly potentially deadly to family members still living in Russia. I have heard it said that Edmon is very intelligent and urbane. With that intelligence, it is too bad that he did not feel comfortable enough with the police to go to them to indicate that this older Russian couple was being targeted. But this is a condition that he grew up with in Russia--the police cannot be trusted.
To attempt murder/great bodily harm three times sounds very much like a contract that cannot be refused.
I empathize with the elderly couple victims and Edmon, the victimizer.
Thanks to both you and Dewayne for presenting this story. It is instructive for the cat's whisker existence the young, gay adult film models lead.

Regarding Joran's blog and groupies comment: Chalk this up to irresponsible parenting. I make no apology for stating that US HS students/graduates have no business to go for 4 to 7 day orgy excursions outside of this country. There are plenty of stateside activities that they can participate in and attend without deciding that they can search for trouble abroad. The only reason to be traveling outside of the country at that age is in a bona fide study abroad program with active chaperoning. The volunteer parent chaperons that were part of the Holloway tragedy did nothing to check up on any of their charges--a bunch of middle-aged fuck ups looking for a junket; hence, the Natalie tragedy, one that was easily preventable.

Rob thanks for posting your comment! I thought exactly the same thing when i read about Edmon. It is obvious that he was embroiled in some serious shit. He was probably brought over from Armenia by the Russian mafia and then had to "repay the favor". poor guy. He was a BOY SCOUT for fuck's sake.
