Harlow Cuadra supporter Jason Ridge continued his unbroken string of award season defeats, getting completely shut out at this year's GayVN Awards.Ridge and his company Ridgeline Films had been nominated for 7 GayVN awards spread over 5 catagories, but in a continuing industry repudiation of his tee-shirt and video campaign to "Free Harlow Cuadra" he failed across the board last night, going 0-7 (or 0-5, if you prefer to count the defeats by catagories).
Having the general reputation as being on the crazy train heading straight for Britneyville did not help matters either, I'm sure.
These losses tack on to earlier award ceremony shut-outs at the XBiz Awards and the Cybersocket Awards; the latter a particularly humiliating defeat at the hands of none other than Brent Corrigan (more on that here).
One other bit of amusing GayVN Award news: Nikolay Petrov, the porn star accused of braining an elderly New York couple with a hammer WON...taking the prize for best "Best Threesome" along with Jesse Santana and Jason White, for their troika performance in Jet Set's "Just Add Water."I guess the message the GayVN Awards want to send here is: It's OK for an awardee to be an accused murder...but it's not OK to pimp for one. LOL!
Update: As first reported on Mark Adams site today, Best Threesome co-winner Jesse Santana penned some interesting musings regarding the line between being a porn star and an escort.

...Although frankly, had I wrote this screenplay, this is certainly not how I'd choose to end it:
"...And then, in a shockingly brutal scene, Bryan is murdered and the audience is left drained. The film quickly ends after that, with little resolution. We dont know who killed him, or why they did it because that is not what this particular story is about."
Unless you are planning a sequel, this would make for a terrible ending IMO.

They screwed up the facts just enough to make it sound like a real Hollywood product. It is a fun project though, thanks n.c. Any idea who put this little gem together?
We will make sure Brent is aware of it but he doesn't usually respond publicly to such things unless he makes it a blog post. He did that when Perez Hilton made the comparison between Brent and Efron and had photoshoped cum dripping from both their mouths. I guess PH is at least fair and equal when he is being vile and disgusting. Gee I guess I got off track. :0
