Still More Musings...Show Me!
7. [Part 6: Admissions]
8. [Part 6: Admissions]
The thing is, a transcript is not a book; there are nuances and gestures going on that we are not witnessing...in this case, I think it's clear in hindsight Harlow was almost certainly directing his comment to Sean, not Grant, when he said "you."
"Silence of the Chinchillas" regrets the error. I'm feeling pretty damn silly about it right now, in fact! :-)
Blush! Anyways, continuing...
9. [Part 6: Admissions]
So, right here, we have an unknown outtake from "Schoolboy Crush", known only those those who were either at the filming, OR had seen the Cobra master tape...a master tape that as Grant notes, Kocis should out of prudence destroyed long ago (but obviously decided to keep in secret).
Which of course raises the question, if Harlow didn't murder Bryan and steal the master tapes like he claims...how did he know about this secret outtake?
Elm opines in the comments on his blog that the BBTs are no big whoop; Harlow knew it was a trap (?!), was just making all this stuff up (odd way to react to known trap, to walk right into it!), and got his facts from already well known sources:
WHERE on the blogs did Harlow read about Bryan and Lee having a phone conversation that night? That Lee's attorney was a woman? That Bryan owned a Blackberry? That Bryan was buying a condo as a love nest for Brent? Where, where WHERE??? SHOW ME these so called blogs (or any other innocuous source for info) Harlow read these private details from???
And for that matter...how did Harlow know about this monogrammed Rolex owned by Kocis?:
Or what Bryan's front door looked like?:
jim's SHOW ME list
------------------
1. Phone conversation with Lee Bergeron (and others) after 7:50pm;
2. Lee's female attorney;
3. Bryan owned a Blackberry;
4. Bryan planning to buy a San Diego condo (for his "little bitch," LOL!);
5. Obscure outtakes from "Schoolboy Crush;"
6. Bryan's missing "BCK" monogrammed Rolex watch;
7. Bryan's Adobe editing software;
8. Design and layout of Kocis' front door
9. [to be added, etc...]
Here's the list for now...will any Harlowite now step up to the plate, and SHOW ME how Harlow innocently knew of these things? WHERE he read about them? Elm? Jakester? Sassy? Will ANY of you take up the challenge?
Or will you all...by your silence...now admit to Harlow's guilt?
Postal officials from Dallas, PA are on the prosecution witness list posted by PC (see 149, 150).HARLOW CUADRA: They will not be able to come up with that, unless quickly forge it. And ah, all the masters umm, all the masters I had a little box shipped to me...
8. [Part 6: Admissions]
You know, funny story, I earlier mistakenly thought Harlow was referring to seeing Grant in a video with "Everett," and indeed, if you merely read the transcript like you would a book, it would seem that way.GRANT ROY: Our attorney said he thought umm, the FBI had, he was, he was involved in some kind of International porn ring and the FBI was protecting him to give up other information, for other people in...
HARLOW CUADRA: No, umm, as a matter of fact, I still remember what Everett told you in the video, Oh, I could do this all week, ha, ha, ha, I could remember watching.

9. [Part 6: Admissions]
GRANT ROY: And he didn't put that on the scene, he should have put that on the fuckin....
HARLOW CUADRA: He should have...
JOSEPH KEREKES: He didn't put it in there?
HARLOW CUADRA: No.
GRANT ROY: No.

Most of the stuff that was talked about on the beach tapes was already on the blogs.Well, no, actually I don't think so. WHERE in the blogs or ANYWHERE else in the known universe would Harlow have known about an obscure outtake from Schoolboy Crush left on the cutting room floor (and in a master tape EVERYONE ASSUMED HAD BEEN DESTROYED)?
That is what I have been saying all along. ... most of that stuff was out there before April 27th 2007.
Or that Bryan used Adobe editing software?:HARLOW CUADRA: Umm, and ah, I said well, I saw all I needed to see, I was gonna keep one of them and give it to you as a gift. I was like, nah, it's too hot right now, let me just get rid of it, and ah, he also gave me a couple of items that are disintegrated now also. Ah, he had a Rolex, ah BCK and, and well it's gone.
HARLOW CUADRA: The ah, oh yea, all his computers, all his editing shit, I think he used Avid.
GRANT ROY: Adobe?
HARLOW CUADRA: Adobe, yea. That's gone too, it was fun looking at all that, I think that's all...
Or what Bryan's front door looked like?:
From this point forward, I am going to start a running "Show Me" list. This is a list of details Harlow (and Joe) mentions on the BBTs that I CHALLENGE any Harlowite (not just Elm) to SHOW ME exists in the public realm, anywhere, such that Harlow (or Joe) could have come across the information innocently. Here is the list up to this point in the Musings; others will be added as we come to them:HARLOW CUADRA: Well, ya know how they say that ah, whoever made it in, had to know Bryan or some shit like that, that's bullshit, because we did some recon work, and the door doesn't have a peephole on it... It has two square blocks of ah, windows way on the top and Bryan's not tall enough to see through that. It was quick, he never, he never saw it coming.

More Musings...About the Lee Story
6. [Part 5: The Lee Story]This is a lot to quote, and it runs through [Part 6: Admission], [Part 8: The Visit], [Part 14: Lee Revisted], [Part 17: Phone Calls], [Part 18: The Visit (Redux)] and perhaps some other parts that I am forgetting at the moment...in other words, QUITE a lot of time on that beach was spent talking about Lee Bergeron, in fact...so I'll just paraphrase the whole spread-out "Lee Story" here, in two paragraphs of my own creation:
Harlow, while in the living room with Kocis prior to the murder, kept getting interrupted by phone calls from Lee Bergeron (and Lee's female attorney, and Bryan's attorney Sean Macias). Harlow is thus allowed to sip wine and evesdrop as Bryan juggles the calls on his Blackberry...and overhears that Lee and Bryan, while technically adversaries in the Cobra lawsuit, have been in reality conspiring in a "backdoor deal" against Sean and Grant this entire time.Their plan being, after a settlement to the lawsuit is manipulated, to oust Grant from the company, alienate Sean affections towards him, "send him packing back to Texas," and then put Sean up in a "condo" easing him back into a life of concubinage to Bryan (and Lee as well perhaps).
Yep. Quite a tale there. Which is why, up until today, I have been rather skeptical of it. On one hand, given what we know of Lee Bergeron and his past shady business dealings, and the fact Bryan very suspiciously opted not include him personally in the Cobra lawsuit (Lee was the only really deep-pocket member of LSG...very unlawyerly behavior indeed!), and the fact that, in the end, Lee did indeed screw Sean and Grant over, first chance he got...leads me to think this astonishing story MAY actually be true.
On the other hand, the affidavit made no mention of any calls to Kocis, from Lee or anyone else, after 7:50pm. But even more problematic in believing the Lee Story is that person telling it is Harlow Cuadra. That's a HUGE problem. Because, we all know what it means when Harlow moves his lips...So, until this morning, I was completely on the fence as to the Lee Story. I mean, it's great story if true, and if it had been told by anyone except Harlow and Joe I'd probably be inclined to believe it. What I needed was a sign, one way or the other...another bit of factual data, that might either confirm or deny the Lee Story.
And then, this morning...it hit me! I was re-reading for these musings, and got to Part 5 here...lets roll the tape!
Ah, stop the tape! Notice RIGHT THERE Sean verifies the bit about about the condo! He was told it was gonna be an apartment, but Harlow sticks to his guns, says they were actually talking about a condo...but in essence, their stories match up perfectly on this key detail.HARLOW CUADRA: I'm gonna, this is the little voice coming out of his Blackberry that day, I'm gonna send him back to fuckin Texas. Ah, laughing and carrying on like it was all so perfect. Ah, Sean, he was gonna put him up in a Condo that he was thinking about buying in San Diego and ah, get him away from you and ah...
GRANT ROY: On the phone?
HARLOW CUADRA: Yea, and...
SEAN LOCKHART: Grant, remember when he offered me that apartment?
HARLOW CUADRA: Yea, there ya go, how the fuck did I know that? Except it was gonna be a Condo, he was telling Lee over the phone that ah, he wanted to buy property out here to make it easier for him to come out.
"Yea, there ya go, how the fuck did I know that?" Indeed, Harlow, indeed. And there you have it, folks...incredible though it may be, the Lee Story is true.
This has some fairly significant implications. For the murder case, it is one of many details Harlow knows about on the beach that day (in addition to the Rolex, the TV, the Masarati, etc...) that unquestionably place Harlow Cuadra at the murder scene. Not at a smoke-filled house with a dead Bryan, but in a very much not-on-fire house, listening to a very live Bryan Kocis chattering away on his Blackberry. For the whole Brent Corrigan saga in general, the Lee Story completely rewrites what historians will say about the Cobra settlement.
And as far as any future efforts to enforce that settlement go...forget about it. No court in the land will ever enforce a settlement that was brought about via the espionage of a Benedict Arnold in one of the camps. The LSG-Cobra settlement is DOA; Brent, Grant and their new company are for all intents and purposes free of it. And their now unclouded future is looking much rosier on account of that fact.

Miscellaneous Musings on the Blacks Beach Tapes
...by me will be gathered and posted right here, as soon as all are posted on PC's blog, and I've had a day or so to fully reflect on them.
And here we go! I think what I'm going to do is just re-read through the whole transcript, and "live-blog" my re-reading, making note of an commenting on those parts that in particular catch my eye.
1. [Part 1: Getting Ready]
GRANT ROY: Don't let him say, Sean ya know we did this is... say no, you were just going to take care of the escorting connection that's why Grant was so fucking mad about this whole fucking thing, he didn't need to die, ya know and that's...
SEAN LOCKHART: I'm, I'm gonna be quiet.
GRANT ROY: No, well, I'm just saying...
SEAN LOCKHART: If they lie, I'm gonna call them out, right?
GRANT ROY: Yea. Ya know, just, that's fine.
This exchange took place before they picked Harlow and Joe up in the car, and you can see the game plan: to NOT let Harlow and Joe get away with implying Sean and Grant knew of the murder beforehand. If they did so in any way, Sean was to immediately "call them out" on the "lie."
As things turned out, this calling out plan was unnecessary...Harlow and Joe never even came close to making any such implication.
Also interesting is what fact Sean was to use to call them out on the potential lie: "...you were just going to take care of the escorting connection..."
As we find out later in the tapes, Bryan had an issue with his porn boys engaging in freelance escort work. Ah...NOW we begin to see one of the major problems with Boybatter partnering with LSG/Cobra under the settlement agreement. It was obviously made clear to Harlow and Joe (at the dinner? or the subsequent bitchy phone call?) that Bryan would never allow freelance escorts into his sphere of operations, and as they could have never parted with their Boisrus operation...they seem to have come to the conclusion (on their own) they had to remove Bryan from the equation in order to succeed in their goals.
2. [Part 1: Getting Ready]
JOSEPH KEREKES: Wow, oh my God, I'm actually scared. I never seen anything like this Grant.
HARLOW CUADRA: (inaudible) oh yea, yea. This must be about twenty stories in the air if you were in a building.
GRANT ROY: Oh at least.
JOSEPH KEREKES: Thirty.

3. [Part 2: The Descent]
A slightly abridged, illustrated version. The danger Sean and Grant were in during this cliff climb with Harlow and Joe is readily apparant (all photos from http://www.blacksbeach.org/)
JOSEPH KEREKES: I'm surprised they haven't set up a walk way or something.
...
JOSEPH KEREKES: I'm glad I didn't have another shot.
...
GRANT ROY: Well I don't think that's a good way... I'm gonna go this way.
JOSEPH KEREKES: You alright Harlow?
HARLOW CUADRA: Yea.
...

JOSEPH KEREKES: This looks like it turns into a waterfall.
...
GRANT ROY: Just watch the little step places that's where (inaudible).
HARLOW CUADRA: I will never forget this.
...
GRANT ROY: (inaudible). Careful, that's not a good way.
JOSEPH KEREKES: Baby, remember, if you build up any speed, you're not gonna be able to stop, and you don't wanna get dirty or scratched, alright?
GRANT ROY: Just kinda follow me.
...
GRANT ROY: Right there, that would be good...
...
JOSEPH KEREKES: Why did you wear your sandals Harlow?
GRANT ROY: Yea, well I was hoping he told you not to, did he tell you to wear tennis shoes?
HARLOW CUADRA: Brent said, it'd be a good idea if you wore shoes, I was like ah, should I wear sandals, I didn't know that was a warning, Brent.
SEAN LOCKHART: We're half way down there.
GRANT ROY: The hardest part is... watch, get the little places where it's a little solid is where you wanna plant sort of... alright, let's go down right... now come over here.
...
GRANT ROY: Oh, you go that way, I'll go this way. It's a little more gradual.
JOSEPH KEREKES: And a little steep too.
GRANT ROY: Yea, just kinda, just kinda... there ya go, you got it, that's it...
JOSEPH KEREKES: Oh God, look we're already at the water.
4. [Part 3: Picture Time]
HARLOW CUADRA: Joe's got my name on his ass.
GRANT ROY: Oh really?
JOSEPH KEREKES: Cuadra
GRANT ROY: Really?
JOSEPH KEREKES: Yea, these are the only ones I kept.
GRANT ROY: Oh really?
You know, if Harlow does indeed "roll" on Joe...imagine him waking up every morning in prison, and seeing that tattoo... :-)
5. [Part 4: Web Woes]
JOSEPH KEREKES: We found this ah, Romanian webmaster and I swear it's like slave labor, I feel bad sometimes...
HARLOW CUADRA: I feel bad...
The early Romanian connection to the Harlow defense efforts is thus explained; see this old pro-Harlow fan blog (linked to on Elm's site):
For harlow from Romania with love
DeWayne adds the following bit of intel on "Vlad the Webmaster:"

Makes me ponder what they mean, exactly, by "severed all ties with the original owners." Does that mean proceeds from memberships are no longer being donated to the defense efforts? And who is this "new management team" anyways? Their 2257 link is still dead. You know, I wonder if this "new management" is a sham to hide assets from Harlow's creditors? Given the stunts and scams the Harlowites have attempted in the past, I would not put this past them.

Yep EVERYTHING Boybatter had on the site was uh copied and "distributed" within a month of Joe and Harlows arrest!
Guess Joe won't be traveling to Romania, I'm sure thats what Vlad the Webmaster laughed!"

2008 GayVN Awards: Total Defeat For Jason Ridge
Harlow Cuadra supporter Jason Ridge continued his unbroken string of award season defeats, getting completely shut out at this year's GayVN Awards.Ridge and his company Ridgeline Films had been nominated for 7 GayVN awards spread over 5 catagories, but in a continuing industry repudiation of his tee-shirt and video campaign to "Free Harlow Cuadra" he failed across the board last night, going 0-7 (or 0-5, if you prefer to count the defeats by catagories).
Having the general reputation as being on the crazy train heading straight for Britneyville did not help matters either, I'm sure.
These losses tack on to earlier award ceremony shut-outs at the XBiz Awards and the Cybersocket Awards; the latter a particularly humiliating defeat at the hands of none other than Brent Corrigan (more on that here).
One other bit of amusing GayVN Award news: Nikolay Petrov, the porn star accused of braining an elderly New York couple with a hammer WON...taking the prize for best "Best Threesome" along with Jesse Santana and Jason White, for their troika performance in Jet Set's "Just Add Water."I guess the message the GayVN Awards want to send here is: It's OK for an awardee to be an accused murder...but it's not OK to pimp for one. LOL!
Update: As first reported on Mark Adams site today, Best Threesome co-winner Jesse Santana penned some interesting musings regarding the line between being a porn star and an escort.
