Indeed, I just finished doing as Mr. Jones suggested ("...and the bloggers who are exploiting Brent and taking all sides should really look at themselves and ask if they are happy and love themselves."), and I must say, thanks to him it's difficult for me to imagine being more happy or in love with myself at this moment.

This is parallel in missive to the Advocate comment. Are we witnesses to a new blogger cottage comment factory--vilify Sean and Grant?
According to the H&J Blog today, Bryan Kocis' sister (Melody) made a rather lengthly comment in a discussion thread. 2 things she said, I found to be rather puzzling.
1.) "Bryan was a good, honest person in a bad, dishonest business."
2.) "Sean Lockhart was Bryan’s biggest mistake. He cared for Sean very much, and Sean did nothing but hurt him. I was with Bryan when Sean told him he wasn’t coming back to finish his contract with Cobra, and that he was starting his own company. Bryan just bought him a car. I will never forget how upset Bryan was. Unfortunately Bryan is not here to tell his side of the story."
In regards to item 1, I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that Bryan was an honest person in his consumer-end business practices. But she adds, "in a bad, dishonest business." I cannot help but to be perplexed by what she means by "a bad, dishonest business." Is this a "bad and dishonest business" because it incorporated Sean Lockhart or does she mean perhaps the pornography aspect of the business or just the barebacking element of such or all of the above ?
In regards to item 2, Bryan's "biggest mistake" was Sean. I would construe this overall statement to say that she may believe that had Sean lived up to Bryan's expectations Bryan would have had a better quality of life in that he would not have been so "upset" and perhaps his company would not have been subjected to a breach of a contract; or that Sean is the root cause of Bryan's murder.
Perhaps I'm reading to much into her comment. She does go on to thank Sean and Grant for their assistance in testifying and she also points out she "will let go of the past" in light of Sean cooperation and conveys that before Bryan's death he "made up" with Sean. I guess she is making it known that she dislikes the "business" that Bryan was involved in, harbors ill feelings toward Sean - but is willing to forget.
In all due respect to the tragic loss of another human being and to the family who suffered such, I cannot help but to think that in light of Bryan's practices of having sexual dealings with underage boys and the strong proability that on the night of the murder he may have known exactly the true idenity of one 'potential model' (with intentions to have sex and not interview) that Bryan was far from the "honest" man so protrayed in Harlow's trial.
My point in all of this is really that the gay adult entertainment business is not all a bad and dishonest business because two obvious psychos were running loose attempting to migrate their business from a house of prosititution to a major adult film company. Both of those boys got what they deserved and that being their day in court and more important to me, life behind bars.
Moreover, I think Bryan was stupid in trying to engage himself with both business and pleasure insofar as the Sean Lockhart aspect goes. And again perhaps mixing business and pleasure the night of the murder. I think; lucky for Bryan he knew Sean, lucky for Bryan he made a few swell bucks peddleing his 'Brent Corrigan' wares, lucky for Bryan so many people gave a damn about him in spite of his shortcomings to rally in support of the cause to convict Harlow and Joe for their dirty deed of murder. Much of that support has came from Camp "big mistake" and if I read her correctly the also from the "bad, dishonest" gay adult entertainment industry. I can't find a single website ran by a creditable adult company who didn't rally support in the cause to comvict Harlow.
I didn't post this comment on the HJ blog, where I know it would be better aired. I didn't because I became disgusted with the proprieter (PC) after a series of telephone conversations I had with him where he told me that he was in possession of the entire member database of BoyBatter and Norfolk Companions to include not only usernames, but the credit card numbers collected by the CCBill e-commerce service provider and dollar amounts collected from the escort clients along with their occupations and physical addresses. After he told me that on the telephone I called him a liar and following that I disassociated myself from further discussions on 'their' board. My entire conversations with him was akin to the many I had with UNO-WHO, so I have them both pegged in the same boat, awaiting the straight - jacket man to come pick them up.

Jim - As I'm sure ANY adult webmster who trades with CCBill can tell you, no one has access to the member's credit card numbers.
When PC told me this he first explained that what he was telling me was between he and I only. I questioned him in great detail and even suggested to him he could be mistaken. He was very clear that it was CCBILL data AND other databases. When I told him that was impossible in regards to CCBill he insisted he had "inside people". I called him a "liar" point blank and he in turn said "FUCK YOU" and he disconnected from the telephone call.
And for the record, it was not "Mr. Conaster" he was speaking to, it was me. He damn well knows my name after logging over 9 hours with me directly over the telephone.

I said something similar in the C. Jim's Jury comments thread and that set Peter off against me. I think you nicely detailed the anomaly and let those understand that causing a victim to be vilified by supporters of a slain victimizer is never good politics.

Well I think you're right about Will Jones, Jim. (Oy, his name is Will, in addition to being a faux-Jew? How delightful.) Anyway, I hope this information is being channeled to the proper authorities, and they can move on it. The threat is still a crime, regardless of the fact that it was deleted.

Oh there's no doubt that letter from Benjamin's stepfather was real.
It was a great idea by the family, to put all the facts surrounding his unfortunate death out there in a public letter, so rumormongers would not try to exploit his death for their own propaganda purposes.
And largely, that seems to have been the case, with two exceptions:
1) Kent Barclay (aka Damon Kruezer)
2) Will Jones (aka Jason Ridge)
Both of the above actually sunk so low as to use a tragic suicide for personal gain.
