Still Further Musings

Between Parts 17 and 24, Harlow continues to incriminate himself, and the "show me" list grows. For example, in Part 17:

HARLOW CUADRA: Ah, I can't say what he called me, because that Drake is misinformation.



GRANT ROY: Really?




HARLOW CUADRA: Yea, Drake is (inaudible) and I think the cops might have planted the knife there, ya know how they said they found the knife on the couch?


JOSEPH KEREKES: No...




HARLOW CUADRA: That was misinformation too, I think somebody dropped the knife on there so they could come and search our place, that was, and then they found a fucking computer? Whatever. That's why they took my tapes and paperwork, they're going through...

This is interesting...Harlow is claiming to know that the name "Drake" in connection with the police investigation is a bit of police "misinformation" or misdirection. Same with the knife the press reports say was found at the scene.

Now, HOW would Harlow know this bit of confidential police information, UNLESS he was either 1) a police investigator on the case; or 2) the murderer?

So, onto the "show me" list this goes. You know, it's funny, in that Elm claimed recently that I have "forgotten" that Harlow aka "Danny" talked on the phone with Bryan prior to the murder, in order to set up the appointment...and many things on the "show me" list Bryan could have spoken about during said phone calls.

No Elm, I'm afraid not. I certainly did not "forget" about the prior phone calls. It's just that, your theory about mundane personal information like this being passed during these phone calls is so ludicrous that I would never float it as a possibility.

Imagine a phone conversation, between two people who have never met, along these lines; tell me if you guys consider this to be realistic:

Harlow (pretending to be "Danny"): OK, see you between 7:30 and 8.

Bryan: OK, don't forget to bring 2 forms of ID, AND your overnight bag with toothbrush! BTW...I'm plotting with Lee Bergeron and his female lawyer right now to steal Brent from Grant and hole him up in a condo I'm buying. Well, enough chit chat...both my Aston Martin and Masarati are in the shop (the A-M I lease by the way) and I need to go pick them up...and I need to look for my monogrammmed Rolex watch, which I seem to have misplaced...which, sucks because I'm not able to watch my new $20,000 Sony entertainment center which is located here in the living room, right next to the ficus...BTW, what kind of editing software do you use? I SWEAR by Adobe, it's da bomb!...

(etc...insert other "show me" data via ridiculous non sequitors here)

Now, lets try and add this new stuff about Harlow knowing about police "misinformation" during this hypothetical Elm phone call scenario...and we run into an obvious problem. Bryan cannot tell Harlow about this police investigatory misinformation because...well, Bryan is not dead yet. And since he's not dead...there is no police investigation!

I'd love to see Elm 'splain his way out of this one...not even the absurd phone call theory will work!
