You know, I REALLY do not have much to add to this post by Jason Sechrest. Combined with his accompanying video post on the same subject, Jason just so completely nailed the situation that there just is not a lot of words I can contribute to this myself, except this general observation:

You can tell a lot about validity of any opinion (ie, 'Harlow is innocent') by the mental stability of the people espousing that opinion.

Oh, and I suppose a "LOL" is in order here by me as well, LOL!

The Guy Who Caused This Whole Mess - Part 3

After Chris Henriquez' online manipulations prompted the underage porn revelations that tore apart Cobra Video (which led to the lawsuit, which led to the murder), he basically dropped out of sight. Which makes sense, really; his desire for revenge sated, he simply declared 'mission accomplished' and went on with the rest of his life. That is perhaps why of all the major players in this scandal, he is little known and seldom talked about today.

He played no known role whatsoever in the later chapters in this saga, namely, the long and bitter LSG-Cobra lawsuit, and the murder of Bryan Kocis by Harlow Cuadra and Joe Kerekes.

Yet given the colossal role he played in the early stages of this drama, you have to wonder: What ever happened to this guy?

Well apparantly, Chris has become a moderately successful disc jockey/party promoter in the Southern California area. Club and party promotions being original passion, if you guys recall, as mentioned in his first Livejournal posting over in Part 1.

Thanks to some MySpace blog entries, we can actually follow the rise of his dj/party promotions career, which picked up at the same time his porn career/relationship with Brent was on the decline. It looks like, he started out pretty small at first: Gay beach bonfires; "All Ages" gay pool parties; gay horseback riding; "All Ages" house parties; and then finally graduating to promotions in established 18+ nightclubs, with "almost naked" go-go boys, and professional djs.

Anyways, long story short, through 2005 and 2006, Chris' parties seem to have gotten bigger and better...and somewhere along the way, he branched out into DJing. His promotions company (Xtreme Productions Entertainment) seems to have really taken off in 2006, co-producing the "Aftermath" party at the Long Beach Convention Center, one of the major circuit parties associated with Long Beach Gay Pride.

This first circuit party was apparantly such a success for Chris' company that it was repeated in 2007, this time at the Long Beach Westin Hotel. Here is the flyer for that event:



Notice anything...familiar, in this flyer? Take a close look now...bottom right picture, in fact:



Yep, there's our Chris! The same thumbnail photo used in his Livejournal profile. As you can see, he's rebranded himself by this time as "D.j. Elektro. " (see top left picture in ad as well).

And he rebranded himself even more, recently changing his name to "Christian Alexander, aka Dj Elektro," along with a whole new MySpace site.

And by all appearances, he's doing quite well...here's the slate of upcoming events he's got planned (including the territorial expansion of his signature "Aftermath" circuit parties to other SoCal cities), all of them (perhaps not surprisingly) catering to the "18+" gay market:

The Guy Who Caused This Whole Mess - Part 1

The Subtitle of this post is "The Most Important Person in the Whole Kocis Saga (Who You've Probably Never Heard About).

I've been planning this post for some time. The idea for it came to me while searching for the root cause of the whole Kocis Saga. And to search for the root cause of anything, you have to trace the chain of cause-and-effect back to its source.

Why did Harlow and Joe kill Bryan? Because they were broke and wanted to work with Brent Corrigan, and they thought the murder would be well received by the Brent Camp. Why did they think the murder would be well received by the Brent Camp? Because the Brent Camp was being sued by the Cobra Camp. Why was the Cobra Camp suing the Brent Camp? Because the Brent Camp went public with Brent's underage status, causing four videos to be pulled from circulation (an entire year's work product) thereby causing the Cobra Camp huge financial losses. Why did Brent reveal his underage status? Because DUE TO SOMEONE POSTING A PROFILE OF BRENT USING HIS REAL AGE, Brent felt he could no longer maintain the age deception Bryan required of him.

Ah, now you see, this is interesting. A third party has just entered the chain of causation. Hmmmm. OK lets just make a mental note of this now, and move on...and in the meantime, lets call this new significant third party "X."

Moving on...why obviously know WHY Bryan wanted Sean's underage status swept under the rug...but an interesting question is HOW did Bryan try to maintain this age deception? Well, he forced Brent to get another form of ID, a REAL plastic ID, to show to Bryan. And to get such an illicit item manufactured, Sean turned to an old friend of his, experienced in such shady dealings; one who took him to one of the seedier neighborhoods of L.A., and got him his new fake ID for Bryan.

Ah. This shady friend of Brent...another critical third party enters the chain, to take a chunk of the blame for the Kocis tragedy. Let's call him "Y."

Again, moving on...in fact, lets just fast-forward here...Brent did this in retaliation to Bryan for something he did in retaliation to Brent in retaliation for...blah blah blah etc...insert crimination after re-crimination here...until we finally come to the decisive moment...the moment it ALL began: that first webcam meeting between Bryan and Sean, when Bryan first laid eyes on the then 16 y/o, where he was smitten by him, in all his twinkish naked glory.

In other words, this was the initial moment in time where Bryan’s doom was sealed. A little over three years later, he would be dead.

So who willed this fatal webcam show into existence? Was it Brent’s fault? No. Brent was actually asleep the entire time! So, then it was Bryan’s doing, right? Wrong!

Guess what folks…it was a third party who instigated it all. Let’s call him “Z;” not only did Z set up the whole webcamming moment, BUT it was Z who told Bryan this naked boy was just about to turn 18! Wowzer!

Which, as we all now know, was a lie. Brent was a mere 16 going on 17…not 18. The seeds of tragedy were planted at this CRITICAL moment, not by Brent, not by Bryan…but this unsung, unheralded, and largely forgotten fellow, Z.

Z was the ultimate cause of it all. And yet, despite his colossal responsibility he has for all that later occurred…he dwells to this day virtually unblogged about, here in the Kocisphere.

Amazing, huh? But you want to know something even more amazing? Guess what is interesting about X, Y, the two aforementioned third parties who at key moments propelled this controversy to its tragic conclusion, and the ultimate cause of it all, Z? What do X, Y and Z all have in common?


They are all the same person.

Gasp! You might think. ONE person did all this? And in all our voluminous blog bloviations, he has gone virtually undiscussed? How can this be?

You know...I’ve LONG wondered that myself, LOL! Hence, dadum! this post. A post to bring to light the most important player in the whole Kocis saga, the PRIME instigator...who you’ve probably never heard about.

This post is the story of Chris Henriquez. Sean’s first boyfriend and the guy who, in my opinion, undisputedly and selfishly caused this whole underage porn vendetta lawsuit murder mess in the first place.

Chris and Sean, sittin’ in a tree…the pre-Cobra months

Here is what Brent has to say about Chris, his first boyfriend, who brought him at age 16 out of the closet:

“I was young, supremely naive and misguided by those who were once close to me. At age 16, during mid-summer 2003, just prior to my junior year in high school, I moved to Southern California to live with my mother. Before moving, I searched various teen oriented online websites where I met Jake, who was 21 at the time and was very insistent that we start dating. He was my first real boyfriend, so I wasn’t quite sure what constituted a normal relationship. Jake was constantly around me and made it a point to become involved in every aspect of my life. He was my social life, my sex life and my most trusted companion. It was my first relationship ever in which a person outside my family held precedent in my life.”

This is from Brent’s well known account of the early years of the saga, A Siren’s Tale.

Brent elaborated a bit more on the darker side of the relationship to Jody Wheeler, in his Gay Web Monkey article:

"[He] introduced me to a lifestyle that wasn’t very fitting of a 16-year-old. He was nothing but the worst influence on me. But I thought this is what gay people did. I didn’t know that most of the gay community isn’t into drugs and being evil to each other; that there is a side of the gay community that actually takes care of each other."

But we need not entirely rely on Brent's accounts. After doing a bit of digging for this post, I made a fairly astonishing online discovery…for a brief time in 2003, Chris Henriquez maintained a Livejournal web log of his own. And I must say…it not only corroborates Brent’s account, but adds some fairly interesting, entertaining, and um…stimulating details as well!

Now, it appears to me as if Mr. Henriquez had more postings, but deleted many of them…leaving only those in which Brent was mentioned. Intentionally, I would presume…but why? Cathartic reasons? It’s hard to imagine Chris thoughtfully did this for us historians! But whatever the reasons, he did. So, all of it is amazing stuff, really. As I was reading them, I could not help feel like John Sutter did in 1848, when he first realized what all those yellow pebbles were in his millstream…

Grab the microwave popcorn…this is a veritable goldmine of early Brentlore, folks!

Yep, so, Chris is a budding club promoter in Orange County, with a new beau down in San Diego, who cannot have his name revealed yet. Hmmm, lets read on shall we?

Um…OKAY! Well, I dunno about you guys, but, I, um, sorta had to take a 15 minute break after reading this entry. And after washing my hands…I noticed he accidentally mentions his name (“sean”), and the whole sleeping naked in bed thing…could this have been the infamous web cam day? Brent mentions in Siren's Tale this happened in October of 2003, but perhaps he was off by a month? In any case…

LOL, yep, that’s our Sean, hehe. The other thing to note…look how possessive Mr. Henriquez is getting, basically backing up Brent’s characterization of him. And the twink drama gets even better…

Dewayne, Albert, did you know this stuff was here, online? I cannot believe I actually may have the first to rediscover this; this is highly entertaining! And believe it or not, it gets better…

Heh, drama indeed. You know, I wonder if “ferny” is actually Johnathan Deverell, mentioned by Brent in Siren’s Tale as Chris’ ex, the one who first leaked to Bryan the underage situation?

Chris and Sean get a puppy. Note the date, perfectly coinciding with Brent’s upcoming birthday.

Yep, the Cedar wildfires of 2003, right where we’d expect to read about them. Note also the mention of Pico Rivera as Chris Henriquez’ home town.

More fire drama. Beats ex-b/f drama I suppose! Also, since Chris seems to be cooped up with Sean in San Diego during this crisis, one of these could possibly be the infamous Bryan webcam day?

They did not come out, obviously. And finally, Chris’ last known extant entry…

Yeah, moms have a way of knowing. The porn was a hint too, heh.

And there you have it, folks…the early relationship, from Chris’ point of view. A few obvious observations: 1) Chris seems insanely in love/lust for Sean, even more than your typical hormonal twink would be; and 2) Chris was someone with way beyond the normal run of possessiveness and jealousy; 3) Sean seems to have a knack, unintentionally or otherwise, of bringing these jealousy situations about.

And that's all for now. We'll pick up Chris' story, beginning with he and Sean's involvement with Cobra and Bryan Kocis, in a "Part 2" post.

And then in "Part 3," we'll take a look-see at where Chris Henriquez, arguably "the guy who caused this whole mess," currently is today. In other words...YES, I found him! And as a teaser, I must say...what I found surprised me a bit.

108-Page Wiretap Transcript Filed Tuesday!

Normally, this is the sort of hot hot hot STOP THE PRESSES! kinda news I leave to PC to discuss. But since he is in Alaska now, I'll pick up the slack here.

It seems Harlow's guilty conscience would not let him sleep for a week after he killed Kocis. Anyways, the full story from Citizen's Voice is here.

No corresponding story in the Times Leader (yet), but if this 108 page document is a filing...PC might be able to secure a copy when he returns? Yowzer. And what a filing it is!

Only these brief snippets from the CV story as yet, but it appears to be all the Blacks Beach tapes. Here, Harlow discusses how to destroy Cobra Video to Sean and Grant "if you guys wanna":

"In the transcript, Cuadra talks about how to get rid of Kocis’ business and how paperwork related to it likely burned in the fire.

“Well, if you guys wanna take care of Cobra for once and for all,” Cuadra said. “I don’t think there’s a real hurry on it, unless he had a copy of all that paperwork at his lawyer’s office, it’s all gone.”

Then, we have Harlow describing how he found all the stuff they ransacked from the home...Kocis showed them to Harlow. Yep...the dead body Harlow earlier claimed he saw at the house when he arrived...talked to him, showed him around, gave him a tour of the place! Pretty good for a corpse:

Cuadra and Kerekes tell Lockhart and Roy about several of Kocis’ possessions during the transcript, from computers to video equipment.

“That’s misinformation …,” Cuadra said in the transcript. “(Kocis) took everything and showed it to me for proof and … I got rid of all of that (stuff) too, it’s all disintegrated, it’s all gone computers, everything.”"
