YES, PC, you glad you mentioned that, because I want to make special note of that too.
You people out there who say "cut and paste"...do you realize how how long it must have taken PC to transcribe the court docs he had to transcribe? He had to do these by hand, if I'm not mistaken, and by any reckoning must have taken HOURS.
My hand is getting cramps just thinking about this.
These court documents, largely not available through the mainstream press, were so invaluable to me (indeed, to all of us) it is no exagerration to say this blog would not have existed without them.
Oh and by the way, and lets not forget the Roecker transcription. This deserves special commendation. Gawd, what a difficult project that must have been...starting the recording, stopping, writing down...I did that a little bit here a ways back, for those GAYVN speeches...peanuts compared to what PC had to do...and let me you guys, it is very time consuming.
And then, for all that painstaking work to be taken away from the rest of with a lawyer letter (yes, a real lawyer letter)...well, that was very sad. Fortunately it was there just long enough for us all to glean what we needed to glean, refreshingly stripped of Roecker's annoying propagandistic camera tricks.
So yeah, credit where credit is due, we all owe PC a HUGE round of applause, for what he's done, and the amazing benefits we've all reaped from his tireless efforts.

Yes PC made an invaluable contribution to the coverage of this long 2 year story. The time and effort involved in preparing the transcripts of the BBT's and CCT's were indeed dozens of hours.
More important, items like the arrest affidavits and court documents while they may have been available from the court for a fee,PC made them readily available to all of us.
Indeed the local reporters,lawyers would frequently check PC's blog because it was "all there" Convenience trumped leafing thru voluminous documents.
BTW I flipped thru a printed transcript of the Blacks Beach Tapes and I will tell you PC's posted version is much more easily read!
Now this may surprise some of you coming from me.
While PC and I had a falling out toward the end it was not over the content of his blog.My issue was with the comments and some of the players.
But you know what?
Since the end of the trial I have realized the way PC runs his blog is really his own concern, admittedly some of the post trial flack toward PC was directed more at participants who chose to use his Blog to spread their "disinformation and personal animosity's"
I still believe he should have had more neutrality in the comments but on the other side of the coin did ANY of US try leaving comments on The Citizens Voice or Times Leader?
I assure you they were even LESS Tolerant about divergent opinions than PC would ever be.
In the end Jim and PC ran the their blogs in a very different manner. And its up to all of us to decide which works best.(Both methods have valid support)
Jim your blog was your opinion and you never hesitated to state this. Yet having given commentary in a post you were very free and balanced with the comments allowing bloggers to leave statements you did not agree with!
PC always strove to be very fair and balanced in his main posts, which is why I believe in addition to his valuable "official documents" he chose to include news articles from the Newspapers.
PC could have chosen to rewrite those story's but then he would have been accused (probably by me) of introducing bias into the articles.
My problem and the source of my disagreement with PC came from his policy on Comments. I do believe he allowed certain people to post while censoring others to shape opinion to his liking. He would disagree vehemently on this point and indeed we argued about this subject incessantly on the phone!
I told PC he should have just stated his opinions and bias upfront to the readers!
I think this is a rigid and now discredited (old school)journalistic practice.
Neutrality, Fox News being "fair and balanced"
There really is no such thing and we bloggers intrinsically know this!
Where PC made a mistake was trying to maintain a balanced blog when no one especially when we cynical blog readers were not buying it!
Not a slam at PC, this is the nature of Blogging and WHY a BLOG will never be a Newspaper! Summing up.
Jim and PC are two very different bloggers who provided an invaluable contribution to this community.

Exactly, PC you are grasping at straws. And your cheep shot shows lack of class just as much as someone who commented on Robert's eyes (during trial) which I though was uncalled for and tacky.
However, at 6'1" I can carry some weight, and in thick winter clothes I certainly would not appear thin. And I do (and will) want to post a recent picture of myself for other reasons. The class or lack there of is evident in the BB posts that ran rampant. Your true colors were shown. I honestly think you needed a KM or Jim or someone to help you run (and reel it in) a blog as a diary. Because you were wonderful at getting the info, collecting it in an orderly fashion. But the commentary the "blogging" part was carried by others including myself. So no, folks can't just spend their time/dime and collect this "commentary" that is now locked up. People gave it to you and now it is not available. I wrote trial reports when you failed to follow through with attending any of the trial. They were written for those that were interested in an additional pov.
You were not able to bring your blog to a proper and classy close in the way Jim is doing. And since it remains out of reach to the general public, it now makes Jim's blog the best blog out there by default.
I suspect that you got more notices of Plagiarism claims, and were forced to pull down articles and pictures that are copyrighted works by others. And that with these things now removed, your old blog might not even resemble the one we knew and liked. Lots more to that story I am sure.
At the end of the day, the main thing worth mentioning is that without your work there would not be "Silence of the Chinchillas" as we know it. This is a stone cold fact. It's just too bad you did not have an RM, etc. to navagate the ship (for you) to a more solid conclusion. We all have regrets I guess.
And I will let you take another cheap shot at me if you wish to have that last word here.

It really was not a matter of censorship in this one particular case. Not simply a posting of one's view, but a hate campaign. That you do not see it that way is very lacking. As a moderator (blogger) of the public forum (and community) it should be your duty and privilege to stop hate in it's tracks at least at your digs, like it is your home. It’s very, very sad to see that the past two years are going to end in similar fashion as to how they began for many.
People cannibalizing one another and ripping each other to shreds over other people’s business and other people’s affairs.
Publicly disclosing another person’s private financial difficulties and hardships for no other reason than to embarrass and humiliate is beneath contempt and shame. It offers no relevance to the now closed case which is being blogged about.
Trashing another blogger’s reputation; one who shed light and provided insightful information on a murder trial of considerable interest for others, simply for exercising his own personal preferences on his own blog is beyond selfish indignation.
It would appear that the only thing that people really have in common around here is their thirst for blood and a deep rooted hunger for wounding those who are left standing at any cost for their own personal agendas.
Whether anybody wants to recognize it or not; intentionally inflicting harm and damage upon others for sport or personal grievance leaves you in the wake of your very own karma. It might not seem like a big thing to you now, but it is life altering to you and to those you chose to publicly disparage.
As an outsider here, but as one who has followed these blogs for some time now, I would hope that this can stop here and now, before it might lead to an even greater inerasable harm. I don't understand why a blogger would turn around and attempt to embarrass a reader who has taken the time to comment on his blog. Blogs are nothing without readers, and they are a bore without lively comments. Likewise, I don't understand why a blogger would abuse his stat counter to spy on his readers and then publicize that information to discredit or embarrass a reader/commenter. If you don't like the comment, delete it. If you don't like the commenter, ban him.
Maybe there is no such thing as blogger ethics, and it is perfectly fine to publicize a reader/commenter's half-assed legal troubles, or his identity when he choses to remain anonymous, or his public IP which you get from spying. Recently, I've learned a few things about which routes to take when web surfing and when not to take a blind call on my cell phone.

Cuadra's attorneys allowed to withdraw from caseSheena Delazio
Judge Peter Paul Olszewski let Harlow Cuadra’s attorneys withdraw from his case today and new attorneys will be appointed by the end of the day.
Attorneys for convicted murderer Harlow Cuadra filed court papers on May 8 asking a judge to allow them to be dismissed from the case because they believe Cuadra has no funds to pay them.
The also said they were to be retained only for his trial, not the appeal process.
The papers were filed by attorneys Paul Walker and Joseph D’Andrea Friday. They asked that new counsel be appointed to represent Cuadra in any further matters of appeal.
Cuadra was found guilty of his role in the January 2007 stabbing death of Dallas Township resident Bryan Kocis. Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes, his business partner in the escort business and the production of gay pornographic movies, were arrested on May 15, 2007, in the slaying of Kocis, 44, inside Kocis’ home.
Cuadra and Kerekes, who pleaded guilty to homicide charges, were sentenced to life in prison.
On April 7, the attorneys notified the state Superior Court that Cuadra was appealing his conviction and sentence handed down on March 16 by a Luzerne County jury and Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Peter Paul Olszewski, Jr.
Olszewski set a hearing for today for the attorneys to argue why they should be withdrawn.
In court papers filed on April 30, Cuadra’s attorneys said they were appealing because the judge erred in denying a motion to suppress recorded statements and conversations at a California restaurant and recorded statements and conversations at Black Beach in San Diego in April 2007.
They also argued evidence seized from Cuadra’s home during a search warrant execution and evidence seized regarding Cuadra’s e-mail accounts should have been suppressed. The appeal also claims the court should not have allowed “gruesome photographs” into evidence, which “served no purpose.”
In the filing on May 8, Walker and D’Andrea said that "since (Cuadra) has been continuously incarcerated since the time of his arrest, it is presumed that he is without funds to retain counsel to pursue his appeal."
The attorneys also said they were not hired to pursue Cuadra’s appeal.

Attorneys for convicted murderer Harlow Raymond Cuadra were allowed to step down from the case, Luzerne County Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. ordered.
Olszewski granted attorneys Paul J. Walker and Joseph D’Andrea's request to be removed from the case during a hearing this afternoon. Cuadra was convicted of first-degree murder in March for the January 2007 killing of Bryan Kocis. Kocis was stabbed to death at his Dallas Township home, before the house was set on fire. Cuadra is currently serving life in prison for Kocis' murder.
Cuadra appeared by video from a state correctional facility during the hearing. He told Olszewski he cannot afford hiring another private attorney to handle his appeals.
"I don't have the means any more, your honor," Cudara said.
In granting the order, Olszewski told Cuadra he would appoint conflict counsel for him, to which Cuadra did not object.

WILKES-BARRE – A Luzerne County judge on Wednesday appointed a new attorney for a convicted murderer after former attorneys asked to be withdrawn from the case.
Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. appointed conflict counsel attorney Jeffrey Yelen to represent Harlow Cuadra in matters of appeal.
Last week, Cuadra’s attorneys, Joseph D’Andrea and Paul Walker, asked to be withdrawn from the case, citing that they had been retained only for Cuadra’s trial and that they believed Cuadra had no funds to pay them.
Olszewski allowed the attorneys to withdraw and said they had until Wednesday to provide Yelen with their files concerning Cuadra.

A taxpayer-funded attorney will represent killer Harlow Cuadra during an appeal of his first-degree murder conviction and mandatory life sentence, Luzerne County Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. said Wednesday.

Accusations with no basis in fact.

Peter Conway ingratiates himself with bloggers interested in the Kocis murder and Sean Lockhart's and Grant Roy's involvement. He supplies unsolicitated court documents. Seemingly benign. Behind the scenes he contacts or attempts contact with bloggers who may have an in with Sean Lockhart or Grant Roy. Those run the gauntlet from Elm to Renee Martin (a long interaction) to Cad to Robert Wagner and Wagner's boyfriend Ben to Dewayne to Rob to Sheryl Conrad. Gathering information. For what purpose? To lay out the story honestly? No. It is to tarnish reputations.
The problem is Peter Conway does not check out. Too many blind alleys. Too many enigmas. A cover story.
From his blog: Sean Lockhart and Grant Roy planted the seeds (of murdering Kocis in the minds of Cuadra and Kerekes) in the latest version. No substantiation. No proof in the record. Just say so. Conway pulled a scam.
Did Conway ever meet Sean Lockhart? There is the tale to be told. Under what circumstances did this take place? Can he identify Conway? Those are the real questions.
Peter Conway's interference in this case caused counsel to seek signed and dated clearing statements from the Luzerne County District Attorney. Without their testimony, the prosecution would have had a tailspin. A summarized version of the clearing statement was incorporated into a court document.
Peter Conway was observed having drinks and dinner with an ADA, ex parte. A court imposed gag rule was in effect for counsel on both sides of the case at the time.
Was Conway a client of Cuadra's? Good question. He certainly knew of the Hague Towers' apartment of special purpose from personal experience.
Peter Conway claims adult dot com credentials. Yet, Mark Wilson of J1HM can find none, let alone anyone who has heard of a Peter Conway. The dot com adult universe in the late 1980's and into the 1990's was small. Everyone knew everyone else. No one has heard of Peter Conway.
A question to ask is who was a Kocis client and expecting favors of Kocis' models?

How exactly are Sean and Grant complicit Peter? You are arguing for a common plan, referred to here in the US, as a conspiracy.

A constant creed among the ephebophiles is that the teen male victim "inticed me." "That kid seduced me." "He could take cock like a practiced pro(fessional) whore." Or, the classic, "The kid made me do this."
Read PC's post and his comments. You'll get the picture fast. It is classic victimizer justification by a well-practiced victimizer.

Yeah, in which you pretty much made the exact points I would have made.
The only tiny thing I would say in addition perhaps concerns "porn star gossip" (ie, about Brent). You are quite right I used it as filler material during lulls; however it had a subtle substantive purpose as well.
One thing I've noticed is that people have huge prejudices concerning Brent's talent and potential for popularity. Most people will look at him and think "whoa!" he's a major star. Those people have absolutely no trouble grasping the motive in this case: Harlow and Joe saw the obvious potential too, and killed Bryan in order to woo a potential "million dollar" porn actor.
To Brent fans, this motive makes complete and logical sense. So to them, case closed. No mystery left here!
Now lets look at the Corrigan Derangement Syndrome Sufferers. To them, the "official" motive makes their blood boil, their eyes bug out, and simply want to puke. Then they starting shrieking, running around the house waving their hands wildly about their heads...
The CDSers simply cannot wrap their minds around the concept that anyone, let alone Harlow and Joe, thought Brent a prize worth killing over. Hence a cognitive dissonance takes over, causing them to spend the rest of their lives concocting elaborate conspiracy theories FEATURING ALTERNATE MOTIVES (that's the key) in order to bend reality into alignment with their cognotive dissonance.
So...I post posts about people bidding wildly for Brent's underwear.
I post posts about Brent's videos skyrocketing to the top of the JRL charts.
I post posts about Brent winning innumerable nominations and awards.
So you you see where I'm going with all this? This is all not just filler, I am making a subtle point...
And that point is: It's a free country. The CDSers can hate Brent all they want; that is their right. However...they HAVE to concede that the rest of the world does NOT think like them. The auctions, the charts, the awards are all irrefutable objective evidence of this.
And Harlow and Joe were obviously strong fans too. The evidence of this is overwhelming: their statements to their roommates, the pre-murder email blasts, gushing praise on Brent during the CCTs, etc etc etc...
Hence the official motive is the correct one. This case is closed.
Rob, if you're going to make scurrilous accusations against PC, why don't you do it under your own name? "Anonymous" doesn't fool anyone. So much for your claim that you never post anywhere but under your own name.
And why don't you provide some proof when you call PC a "well-practiced victimizer"? Otherwise I'd say you're leaving yourself open to a lawsuit.

OK, I admit it, I am Damon Kruezer. I take it as my life's mission to run young men out of the gay porn industry by publishing scurrilous statements about them online. What if someone had intercepted Sean Lockhart in San Diego in July, 2003, and put him on a bus back to Bothell, WA? Bryan Kocis would have given up on the gay porn business just like he did on his cell phone business and likely would still be alive. Joe and Harlow would only be doing 3-5 in VA for money laundering and prostitution.
I have an elderly aunt living in assisted housing in Quincy, and I pay for her cable service. She watches The Price is Right on tv, and I use the internet connection to publish my blog remotely. All you need is the public IP and the password. That's how I pull it off. You can run an IP from anywhere in the world.
