The Rules

We are going to go with the no personal attack policy of PC's blog. You can attack an idea; you cannot attack a fellow poster.

Examples:

"Your theory is stupid": OK
"You are stupid": BAD

Pretty simple, huh? OK...other rule, comments should be reasonably on topic with the subject of the post. This will probably be liberally interpreted.

And that's about it, really. Comment moderation is ON, but stick to the simple rules here and I'll send 'er on thru.

Humbly, as always, at your service...jim

First off - Good luck with the blog. The blog name is very funny.

BUT, I'm confused as to the content of discussion you're looking for here.

In your initial post you state this blog is not to discuss the trial....But then you go on to say things like:

"What kind of sentence will Harlow and Joe receive?"

"Plus, we'll look at the consequences and aftermath of the murder." etc.

I don't think you can explore these questions without bringing in the trial from time to time; and if you
reject comments that do entertain the trial, then that's just going to stiffel the conversation all together before it even gets started. Quite frankly, at this point, it's all about the trial. Everything else has been beaten to death like a pack mule in Az.

Yes, well, I suppose it will be impossible to be religiously avoiding the trial, but...it is my intention not to go there, to the fullest extent possible.

And really, I kinda think exactly the opposite as you do...I think the upcoming trial is what has been beaten to death right now. For example, I feel as though we are going in circles over on certain other blogs. People say, "Well, I don't see the motive" and then you explain to them Justin Hainsley. And then a topic gets posted "Hey I don't think the evidence is there" and then you post this mountain of evidence (ie, all the stuff found here: http://handjtrial.blogspot.com/2007/10/evidence-presented-thus-far.html); a week goes by, and then a new post "Hey, you know what HAS NEVER been explained? The motive!"

Sigh.

Add to that, the fact that (barring a plea deal) nothing new will come out of this trial until a ho-hum status conference in December, and then the trial in March...it's time to move on.

"If" they did it has been beaten to death. It's time to move onto "Why." And "What's Next".

Oh and I should clarify, when I say I want to look at "why" that is to say, beyond the official trial motive as testified to by Justin Hainsley. That is of course well covered ground.

"Why" as in why they felt they needed Brent so badly they felt they had to kill for him. Was it just financial difficulties? Or did one or both have some sort of fatal crush on Brent?

Or "how." "How" is it that a youth pastor and Navy corpsman go from being normal people like you and me, to killers?

"When" did this transformation occur?

"Who" was there to witness it? I hope to elicit comments from people who have dealt with Harlow and Joe. I have seen occasional comments from people who knew them in Norfolk. for example, one I recall described them as arrogant show-offs in the community; another, I recall, claimed Joe was in the habit of taking escort money, then driving off withou performance.

Early on in Jody Wheeler's investigation of Harlow, he found complaints against them of sock puppotry in escort review forums, posting false glowing reviews of themselves.

These to me are valuable character insights. I left an option for anonymous posting here, to encourage people that have dealt with them in the past as clients to come forth with similar stories.

Welcome to the blog world. It should be most interesting what is culled from this high on the mountain of truth.

Oh Jim Jim Jim, are you really ready for this?

LOL.

Yes you are.

Good luck with the blog.

The best thing about having your own blog, nobody can delete your own comments.

Jim--

I am encouraged by your presence here. You are one of a mere handful of reasonable voices in this turbulent sea.

All the best for you and your blog.

Jim,

Wanted to say welcome to the blog world. Good luck.

Since you have linked me, is it ok to link you?

Yes, link away!

Although bb is reporting a development which, if true, may make this blog (and all others in the Kocisphere) obsolete in a matter of days.

Sigh. OF COURSE this happens the day after I after I start a blog...ah the irony!

Hmmm, and you know, further irony, it's Brent's 21st birthday...

And still further irony, Elm's latest blog post is entitled "This bullshit must come to an end." Heh, it just might, it just might...

Oh well we'll see. Not even PC is reporting this at this moment, and he's first on everything. Makes ya wonder what bb's source is (not like he's ever gonna tell us, but just sayin'...) :-)

well, Jim, you can always turn your blog into a masterpiece of lies, deceptions and frauds that covers the gay porn industry at night....oh wait, that's already been done. :-)

BB knows not what he speaks of. he also is claiming that I posted something on his blog yesterday and that is in fact false. I know that Harlow has not spoken to his PD since he was apointed and that is something that I find strange.

also the fact that the pd's who are in charge of his case were also closely related the attorneys who represented Bryan Kocis.

Seems to me there could be a bit of a conflict here. Maybe that is the whole point. get the case thrown out on a technicality and move on to the federal stage. That sound about right Rob?
