"And ye shall know the Truth,..."

"... and the Truth shall make you free." John 8.32

Update: Guess what, folks? God spoke to me last night. And He said: "Jiiiiiiim! Chinchillllla Jiiiiiiiim! Make screen caps of the "Harlow's My Friend" blog."

And I said: "But why, Lord?"

And He said: "Ha ha, you'll see! This is gonna be a laugh riot..."

And sure enough...God was right! I got the whole blog he just tried to delete, preserved here on SOTC for all eternity. God was a day ahead of preacher George, LOL:

Barry Taylor in the News (Again)

As if the recently published jailhouse confessions of Joe Kerekes weren't problems enough for Mr. Taylor; he is also still facing contempt charges over a document altering incident.

While the article here states correctly states that his conviction was overturned, Mr. Taylor is not out of hot water. He won appeal on the rather technical grounds that he should have had a lawyer present when the summary contempt citation was handed down, so, the matter will now be re-tried in Circuit Court.

Appeals court overturns convictions of Virginia Beach attorneys

The state Court of Appeals has tossed out the convictions of two attorneys and their law clerk who were jailed in Virginia Beach more than a year ago for allegedly trying to enter fake and offensive documents into the record.

Judge Larry Elder wrote that defense attorneys Claude Scialdone and Barry Taylor and law student Edward Jones were denied their right to obtain counsel or prepare a defense. In July 2006, Circuit Judge Patricia West found all three in contempt of court during the trial of Frankie Dulyea, who was convicted of trying to entice a minor to send sexually explicit material over the Internet.

The case now will be heard in Circuit Court.

During the trial, Scialdone tried to admit into evidence a document about the age-limit rules for an online chatroom in effect at the time Dulyea conversed with an undercover detective. West contended that the computer printout was fraudulent because the copyright and date information appeared to be removed. Scialdone and Taylor denied altering the document, saying the mistake amounted more to negligence than contempt.

West then questioned a screen name with the words “West is a Nazi” on a copy of another document. Jones said he chose the screen name “westisanazi” as a joke because “I was upset about some of the rulings, and I thought it was unfair to the client,” according to court records.

All three men were sentenced to 10 days in jail and ordered to pay fines.

Another Important Announcement From Angel Skye

Clarification...

Whether or not I authorize an interview does not mean it is not legit. I have verified and the interview with Mr Pam on that blog is 100% legit. The pictures are pics I did not even have until the people behind that blog got them from Mr Pam herself. I do not get involved in the war you guys have, but out of respect to that publisher of the LTBT blog I have to clarify that he DID in fact get an exclusive interview and behind the scenes pics from mr pam that is all I will say about that so please people keep things civilized!

This should have a similar impact on certain credibility perceptions as the last important announcement from Angel Skye posted here a ways back.

Words Fail Me

I've like, written, edited, re-edited, scrapped, re-written, re-re-written...and I'm still almost speechless.

Bud, we'll miss ya!

As a consequence of my reclusiveness, I don't think I knew you as well as most of the other bloggers here; I only knew you through your postings online. But from what I did know, I'll always remember your passion. And be inspired by it.

Jim

Update: Because we were all pretty shaken up by the events of this weekend, I think I will push back the day for nominations on all the contests until May 13. Then Voting will begin.
